A client recently purchased a 2023 Ford Maverick that comes with the FITS system which allows people to design and 3D print any accessory they want. The Mavericks have multiple places in the vehicle that have mounting receivers that the 3D print can attach to.
The client wanted a cup holder that would fit drive-thru coffee cups as well as his water bottle with the additional requirement to stand up to the rigors of having a child in the vehicle.
A cup holder was designed and 3D printed using ASA which has high temperature resistance which was needed in this design due to not only the high temperatures of the coffee but also needing to withstand the high summer temperatures that can occur inside a vehicle.
